The curtain-raiser event for Lokmanthan-2026 took place at the Constitution Club in Jaipur, where Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma highlighted Rajasthan’s essence of strength, devotion, intellect, valour, culture, and vibrant folk traditions. This event, themed “Hum Bharat Ke Log” (We, the People of India), embodies the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (the world is one family). Lokmanthan aims to unite thinkers, social practitioners, artists, policymakers, and youth under the spirit of ‘Nation First’.
Held annually, Lokmanthan serves as a global platform for dialogue on Indian civilization, attracting representatives from around the world to enhance Rajasthan’s cultural prominence. Chief Minister Sharma praised PM Modi’s focus on nation-building, emphasizing initiatives like Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat rooted in India’s cultural and traditional strengths.
The event also saw Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat stressing the importance of reconnecting with India’s ancient heritage through Lokmanthan. J. Nandakumar, Convener of the Pragya Pravah Committee, highlighted the platform’s role in fostering dialogue on India’s timeless values and cultural diversity.
Deputy Chief Ministers Diya Kumari and Dr. Prem Chand Bairwa, along with other dignitaries, graced the occasion, which featured cultural performances by folk artists from Rajasthan.
