Veteran actor Dalip Tahil looked back on portraying Aamir Khan’s father at 31 in the film “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak,” which marked its 38th anniversary. Despite his age, producer Nasir Hussain envisioned him as Dhanraj Singh. Tahil shared his thoughts on Instagram, noting his commitment to the script over age considerations.
The movie, directed by Mansoor Khan, starred debutants Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla. Alongside them, actors like Goga Kapoor, Ravindra Kapoor, and Alok Nath were part of the supporting cast. “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” narrates a love story culminating in an elopement.
Nasir Hussain Films produced the film, with Kiran Deohans as the cinematographer and Zafar Sultan as the editor. The music was composed by Anand–Milind. The movie also won the ‘Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment’ at the 36th National Film Awards.
