The ongoing elections in Maharashtra cover 29 municipal corporations, including the prominent Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Polling is taking place in various major cities like Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and others. The voting process began at 7.30 a.m. and will continue until 5.30 p.m., with the vote count scheduled for January 16.
