Defence Minister Rajnath Singh praised the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for its crucial contribution during Operation Sindoor. He lauded the professionalism and commitment of DRDO’s weapon systems in safeguarding national interests on the organization’s 68th Foundation Day.
Singh visited the DRDO Headquarters in New Delhi and acknowledged the organization for enhancing India’s indigenous capabilities by providing advanced technologies to the Armed Forces. He commended the scientists and personnel for their dedication, scientific excellence, and national duty during an event at the DRDO headquarters.
On DRDO Day, Singh extended his greetings to all DRDO scientists and their families, emphasizing their role in strengthening India’s defense preparedness and promoting self-reliance in defense. He expressed confidence in DRDO’s ability to develop the Sudarshan Chakra air defense system as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Singh highlighted DRDO’s efforts in collaborating with the private sector, academia, and start-ups to create a synergistic defense ecosystem. He urged DRDO to focus on innovation, enhance private sector participation, and adapt to evolving technological landscapes for continued progress in defense capabilities.
