Singh underscored the importance of credibility in politics, stating that a leader’s credibility is a valuable asset. He praised the BJP for addressing the credibility crisis in Indian politics and mentioned the public’s response in West Bengal to those who breached trust. The Defence Minister also lauded India’s global reputation as a trusted partner during crises, emphasizing the country’s role as a provider of aid and support worldwide.
Reflecting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s integrity, Rajnath Singh commended Modi’s dedication to honesty throughout his political career. He highlighted Modi’s commitment to transparency and ethical governance, citing his track record as Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India. Singh emphasized that honesty is a fundamental requirement for leaders to maintain public support consistently.
Rajnath Singh criticized the Congress party for its involvement in various scams and alleged corruption cases before the BJP came to power in 2014. He mentioned scandals such as the Bofors scandal and defence-related scams during the Congress rule. Singh also accused the Congress of undermining democratic institutions like the Election Commission and raising doubts about electoral processes like EVMs, emphasizing the BJP’s respect for democratic values and public trust.
