Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to join the 33rd Mahashivratri festivities at the Isha Yoga Centre in Tamil Nadu on Sunday. Singh expressed his excitement for the event, stating his participation at the ‘Maha Shivratri’ celebrations in Coimbatore.
Scheduled to land in Coimbatore at 4:15 p.m., Singh will then proceed to the Isha Yoga Center via a private helicopter at 4:25 p.m. to partake in the evening rituals and music performances marking the commencement of the all-night vigil of Mahashivaratri. Elaborate security measures have been arranged to manage the anticipated large crowd, with 7,000 police personnel deployed for safety and crowd control.
After engaging in the celebrations, the Defence Minister will depart from Coimbatore on Monday, February 16, with his flight scheduled to depart at 10:45 a.m. The annual event, organized by spiritual leader Sadhguru, is expected to draw a significant audience, with several dignitaries including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister L. Murugan attending.
