Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to embark on a two-nation trip to Vietnam and South Korea to enhance strategic military ties, defense industrial partnerships, and maritime security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. His agenda includes discussions in Hanoi to bolster military cooperation with Vietnam, followed by engagements in South Korea to strengthen bilateral defense relations.
Singh expressed his anticipation for the visit, emphasizing the aim to deepen strategic military cooperation, fortify defense industrial partnerships, and enhance maritime collaboration to foster peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region. Notably, a recent meeting between Singh and Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen Phan Van Giang in New Delhi highlighted the commitment to intensify defense cooperation between the two countries.
During the visit, Singh reaffirmed India’s commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership with Vietnam, reflecting the positive momentum in their engagement.
