Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with House Armed Services Committee Member Pat Harrigan, leading a bipartisan US Congressional Delegation in Singapore. Discussions focused on regional security, expanding defence cooperation, and shared strategic interests in the Indo-Pacific. This reaffirmed the strength of the India–US defence partnership.

Rajesh Kumar Singh, on an official visit to Singapore for the Shangri-La Dialogue, engaged in talks with Defence Ministers of New Zealand and Singapore. The discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, enhancing maritime cooperation, and advancing information-sharing mechanisms. The engagements emphasized a commitment to a secure and stable Indo-Pacific region.

During the Shangri-La Dialogue, decision-makers from various regions gathered to address pressing security issues. Singh also met with Singapore President Tharman Shanmugaratnam to bolster strategic ties. Talks with Sweden’s State Secretary to the Minister of Defence focused on enhancing defence cooperation and innovation. Discussions with the Netherlands’ Chief of Defence and European officials aimed at deepening bilateral defence ties and strategic cooperation.

Singh’s interactions extended to the Netherlands’ Defence Minister, exploring avenues for military cooperation and defence industrial collaboration. Meeting with Australia’s Defence Minister, Meghan Quinn, both sides reviewed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership progress and discussed enhancing defence cooperation in mutual interest areas.
