Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh met with NATO Military Committee Chair Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. The discussions centered on enhancing strategic dialogue and addressing global security challenges.
During the Shangri-La Dialogue, Singh also interacted with US Indo-Pacific Command Commander Admiral Samuel J Paparo to strengthen military cooperation and collaboration in the Indo-Pacific region. They discussed emerging security challenges and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening India-US strategic defense ties.
Apart from official meetings, Singh engaged with think tanks and academia to discuss strengthening the Indo-Pacific security architecture, defense industrial collaboration, and emerging technology partnerships. He shared India’s vision for regional security and strategic engagement, emphasizing the importance of a stable and inclusive Indo-Pacific.
In addition, Singh visited the Digital Operations Technology Centre of the Singapore Armed Forces to explore collaboration opportunities in advanced digital and technical capabilities. He also co-chaired the 16th Defence Policy Dialogue with Singapore’s Permanent Secretary (Defence) Joseph Leong, focusing on enhancing defense cooperation and security collaboration between India and Singapore.
