In an effort to enhance traffic flow and reduce congestion, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and Delhi Police have initiated a campaign to promote responsible parking behaviors. The campaign focuses on encouraging the use of designated multi-level parking facilities in Delhi to prevent indiscriminate parking on roads and public areas. This drive aims to optimize existing parking infrastructure and ensure smooth traffic movement in busy commercial and residential areas.

The enforcement and awareness campaign will target six identified multi-level parking locations in Delhi, including Spark Mall, Kamla Nagar, M-Block Market, and others. Despite the availability of sufficient parking spaces at these locations, many motorists still choose to park in unauthorized areas, leading to disruptions in traffic flow and pedestrian movement. Authorities will work together to regulate parking and educate the public on the benefits of utilizing authorized parking facilities.

The joint efforts of the Delhi Traffic Police and MCD will involve both enforcement actions against parking violations and educational initiatives to promote responsible parking practices. Citizens are urged to cooperate by utilizing multi-level parking facilities, which will not only improve traffic management but also enhance public convenience and civic discipline in the city. Motorists are advised to plan their visits ahead and utilize designated parking spaces to avoid contributing to traffic congestion and ensure smoother movement for all road users.
