To commemorate 12 years of the Narendra Modi-led government, the Delhi BJP initiated the Seva Samarpan Pakhwada, a fortnight of service and dedication, across all 70 Assembly constituencies. This program, inspired by PM Modi, aims to showcase the achievements of both the Central and Delhi governments to the public. The inaugural public meeting under this initiative took place in the Karawal Nagar Assembly constituency, where Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra addressed the attendees alongside local MLA and Delhi Government Minister Kapil Mishra.
A significant announcement was made during the event regarding a Rs 138-crore sewer development project for Karawal Nagar. Various prominent figures including MP Manoj Tiwari, Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, MLA Ajay Mahawar, and North-East District BJP President Dr U.K. Chaudhary also spoke at the gathering. Harsh Malhotra, Delhi BJP President and Union Minister of State, highlighted the substantial infrastructure projects delivered by PM Modi to Delhi despite the BJP’s opposition in the city for most of the past 12 years.
He specifically mentioned key developments such as road constructions, Metro networks, the Delhi–Meerut rail corridor, Bharat Mandapam, and the new convention complex in Dwarka. These projects have enhanced Delhi’s global standing as a premier venue for international events and conferences. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing long-standing issues in Karawal Nagar related to drainage, sewerage, water supply, and basic infrastructure. She underscored the government’s focus on translating announcements into tangible outcomes on the ground.
Gupta highlighted the launch of a Rs 138-crore sewer development project as a significant step towards resolving these challenges. Notably, over Rs 300 crore worth of development projects have been sanctioned for Karawal Nagar in the past year through various funding channels, including the Chief Minister’s Development Fund, MLA Fund, and the Yamuna Paar Development Board.
