Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva criticized Arvind Kejriwal for transforming from a party convener to a dictator within the Aam Aadmi Party. He accused Kejriwal of misusing power, leading to corruption within the party and the distancing of founding members like Shashi Bhushan and Raghav Chadha.
Sachdeva highlighted Kejriwal’s alleged exploitation of Delhi’s governance for political gains over a decade and his recent focus on Punjab, accusing him of pushing the state’s youth into drug addiction. This criticism follows the resignation of seven influential Rajya Sabha MPs from AAP, including Sandeep Pathak, the party’s Organization General Secretary.
The Delhi BJP President emphasized that Pathak’s resignation raises concerns about the party’s ideological direction under Kejriwal’s leadership. He called for Kejriwal to reflect on his leadership style, especially as a faction of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs announced their merger with the BJP.
Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor noted the visible frustration of AAP MP Sanjay Singh following the exit of seven Rajya Sabha MPs, including Raghav Chadha and Swati Maliwal. Kapoor criticized Singh for labeling the departing members as traitors, highlighting their years of dedication to AAP and Kejriwal.
