Delhi Capitals concluded their IPL 2026 campaign with a convincing 40-run victory over Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens. Batting first, DC posted their highest total at the venue, reaching 203/5. KL Rahul’s quick 60 and David Miller’s 28 contributed significantly to their score.
In response, KKR started strong with skipper Ajinkya Rahane scoring 63 off 39 balls. However, Kuldeep Yadav’s crucial strikes turned the game in DC’s favor. KKR lost momentum and collapsed, finishing at 163 all out in 18.4 overs.
Rahul and Abishek Porel provided DC with a solid start, setting a brisk tempo. Despite some wickets falling, Rahul’s fifth fifty of the season off 25 balls boosted DC’s innings. Axar Patel and Miller’s contributions in the death overs further strengthened DC’s position.
Delhi’s bowlers, led by Lungi Ngidi and Kuldeep Yadav, maintained pressure on KKR throughout. Ngidi’s 3-27 and Kuldeep’s 3-29 restricted KKR’s chase, leading to their downfall. DC’s clinical performance secured them a sixth spot in the points table.
