Delhi Capitals fast bowler Lungi Ngidi faced a scary head injury while trying to catch a ball in the ongoing IPL 2026 game against Punjab Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The incident occurred in the third over when Ngidi misjudged the catch and fell heavily on his backside, hitting his head on the ground.
Ngidi remained on the ground in pain for a while, receiving medical attention from the team’s physio and doctor. A stretcher was brought in, and an ambulance was called onto the field due to the seriousness of the situation.
Teammates and officials were visibly concerned, with Ngidi unable to move his neck and head regions. He was eventually stretchered off the field and taken to Max Hospital in Karol Bagh for further evaluation and treatment.
