Delhi Capitals’ bowler Kyle Jamieson received a warning and one demerit point for breaching Level 1 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct during a match against Rajasthan Royals. The incident occurred when Jamieson, after dismissing a player, was found to have acted aggressively, potentially provoking a reaction from the batter.
The IPL stated that Jamieson breached Article 2.5 of the Code of Conduct, which pertains to using language or actions that could incite aggression from another player. Following the incident, Jamieson admitted to the offense and accepted the sanction imposed by the Match Referee.
During the match, Rajasthan Royals scored 225/6, with Riyan Parag scoring 90 off 50 balls. In response, Delhi Capitals’ KL Rahul and Pathum Nissanka led the chase with a strong opening stand, eventually securing a victory with five balls to spare in the highest-ever run chase for the franchise in IPL history.
