Delhi Capitals have chosen to field first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their Women’s Premier League match at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara. RCB, leading the table, are already guaranteed a playoff spot, aiming for a sixth consecutive victory to secure a direct path to the final. On the other hand, DC is striving to strengthen their position for the knockouts with a win.

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana confirmed the inclusion of Arundhati Reddy in place of Prema Rawat, emphasizing the team’s readiness for the game. Mandhana noted the windy conditions, expecting less dew settling due to the wind, influencing their decision to bat first. She highlighted the significance of qualifying for the finals and praised the team’s commitment and unity.

Jemimah Rodrigues, the skipper of Delhi Capitals, announced Chinelle Henry and Minnu Mani as replacements for Lucy Hamilton and Deeya Yadav, sidelined due to injury. Rodrigues mentioned the potential impact of dew and the playing conditions under lights, indicating a consistent game plan. She acknowledged the energy brought by the young players, emphasizing the mutual learning experience within the team.

The playing XIs for the match are set, with Delhi Capitals featuring Shafali Verma, Lizelle Lee, Jemimah Rodrigues, and others, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru will have Grace Harris, Smriti Mandhana, and other key players taking the field.
