Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta participated in the “Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan” campaign by taking a metro ride to advocate for conservation amidst rising fuel prices. She engaged with passengers, emphasizing the importance of using public transport. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, following PM Modi’s call to reduce fuel consumption, also rode the metro, highlighting the benefits of public transportation. Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood joined the initiative, encouraging citizens to opt for sustainable modes of travel.

In a move to boost eco-friendly transportation, parking fees for electric vehicles in Connaught Place have been halved. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and NDMC Vice Chairperson Kuljeet Chahal distributed discounted parking passes to promote the use of electric vehicles. Reflecting on the experience, Tiwari shared positive interactions with metro commuters who expressed their preference for public transport due to its convenience and environmental benefits.

NDMC Vice President Kuldeep Singh Chahal demonstrated support for the fuel-saving campaign by arriving at the Seva Teerth Metro Station in an electric auto-rickshaw. He also facilitated the distribution of discounted parking passes for electric vehicles in Connaught Place. PM Modi’s recent call for reduced fuel consumption and increased reliance on public transport and electric vehicles has garnered support from various officials and leaders, further emphasizing the importance of sustainable practices.
