Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium at Kirori Mal College on National Youth Day. She emphasized the Delhi Government’s commitment to guiding the youth’s creativity and energy positively. Gupta encouraged students to embody Swami Vivekananda’s principles and contribute to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision.
The Chief Minister also revealed the Swami Vivekananda statue at the college canteen lawn, renaming it the Swami Vivekananda Complex. This initiative aims to honor and preserve Swami Vivekananda’s legacy on campus. Gupta engaged with the students post-unveiling, urging them to actively participate in the nation’s development.
She urged students to internalize Swami Vivekananda’s values, which promote self-confidence, discipline, and service to the nation. The Swami Vivekananda Complex will facilitate students’ intellectual, cultural, and leadership growth, fostering their involvement in nation-building efforts.
Gupta highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s teachings as a source of inspiration for youth to contribute to national progress and social welfare. She stressed the importance of youth power in realizing the ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’ vision. Gupta emphasized that national advancement requires collective responsibility and active engagement from all 140 crore citizens.
In a separate event, the Chief Minister participated in the ‘Somnath Swabhiman Parv’ at the Hanuman Temple within Kirori Mal College. She paid homage to the country’s cultural heritage and Sanatan traditions, commemorating the enduring legacy of Indian heritage spanning over a millennium.
