Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta introduced the “Hauslon Ki Udaan” Talent Hunt scheme aimed at uncovering the hidden talents of the city’s youth and preparing them for the future. The initiative, a first of its kind, will span all 70 constituencies to identify and nurture promising individuals under a special government program. It is anticipated that over 25,000 young people will participate in this Talent Hunt campaign.
Competitions will be held across various categories such as singing, dance, theatre, fine arts, digital art, instrumental music, and music competitions. The objective is to identify the latent talents and provide them with a platform to showcase their skills. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the importance of recognizing and enhancing the abilities of Delhi’s youth to help them progress. She highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to empower the city’s youth to establish a distinct identity through their potential, creativity, and hard work.
Delhi cabinet minister Kapil Mishra, responsible for Arts and Culture, expressed the government’s commitment to uplifting the aspirations of the youth. The campaign aims to unearth and support the creative talents of young individuals residing in Delhi’s slums, streets, and neighborhoods. Mishra reiterated the government’s pledge to assist these individuals at every stage of their journey, providing necessary support and resources to help them achieve success and gain recognition at national and international levels.
As part of the initiative, the Delhi government will launch a portal for individuals aged between 16 and 35 to register for the talent hunt, facilitating their participation in the program. The government’s focus is on nurturing the talents of the city’s youth and offering them a platform to excel and succeed in their respective fields.
