She urged citizens to refrain from polluting the river with materials like plastic and construction waste. During the campaign, Gupta engaged with volunteers and environmentalists, learning about innovative ways to recycle plastic waste for environmental conservation. She expressed support for such initiatives and emphasized the government’s commitment to sustainable solutions for the Yamuna’s restoration.
Gupta acknowledged a young environmental activist inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, who joined the conservation efforts. She highlighted the government’s ongoing initiatives for the scientific rejuvenation of the Yamuna, including modernizing sewage treatment plants and expanding the sewer network. The focus remains on sustainable solutions to ensure the cleanliness and vitality of the Yamuna for future generations.
