Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta oversaw the groundbreaking ceremony for a permanent Kendriya Vidyalaya building in Khajuri Khas, North-East Delhi. She also inaugurated the school’s temporary premises to ensure immediate classes. Gupta highlighted the historical significance for Karawal Nagar and the region, emphasizing the need for more educational institutions to eliminate long travel distances for quality education.

The event, attended by Education Minister Ashish Sood and other dignitaries, aimed to address the area’s educational deficiencies. She expressed optimism about the school’s long-term impact on providing national-standard education and improving infrastructure for future generations. The establishment of this Kendriya Vidyalaya brings the total count in Delhi to 47, benefiting over 1,19,000 students.

Chief Minister Gupta’s remarks underscored the government’s commitment to quality education and essential infrastructure development. She emphasized the collaborative efforts driving progress in various sectors, including education, roads, healthcare, and more.
