Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reiterated her government’s commitment to the vision of a ‘Developed Delhi, Green Delhi.’ The upcoming Budget 2026-27 aims to fulfill the aspirations of nearly 30 million residents of the capital. Scheduled for presentation on Tuesday, the second budget is expected to accelerate Delhi’s development by enhancing infrastructure and improving residents’ quality of life.

The Chief Minister emphasized that the budget’s goal is to transform Delhi into a city with improved healthcare, education, infrastructure, and a cleaner environment. Focus areas include enhancing student facilities, strengthening healthcare services, ensuring cleanliness, controlling pollution, and promoting a greener ecosystem. The government’s vision of ‘Developed Delhi, Green Delhi’ aims to create a positive, safe, and prosperous environment for residents to live comfortably and with dignity.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Delhi, Chief Minister Gupta highlighted the government’s commitment to serving citizens and improving the city’s overall condition. The administration, backed by public trust and support, remains dedicated to continuous efforts in making Delhi a better place for all.

The Delhi Assembly’s budget session commenced with the traditional ‘kheer ceremony,’ symbolizing prosperity and a commitment to public welfare. This event, attended by a diverse group including farmers, students, teachers, doctors, and members of various communities, set the tone for the forthcoming budget. Notable figures like Cabinet Ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, and others, along with MLAs and dignitaries, were present to mark the occasion.
