Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the government’s year-round efforts to tackle pollution in Delhi-NCR. Short-term and long-term strategies are in place and actively being executed to address the issue. Gupta highlighted the collaborative approach involving various agencies in the fight against pollution.

Efforts to combat pollution are ongoing, with support from the Central Government playing a crucial role. A detailed and time-bound plan is being implemented to address the challenges posed by air pollution. The collective actions aim to enhance air quality and protect public health.

Chief Minister Gupta underscored the importance of coordinated efforts among departments to adhere to the pollution control blueprint. The government is committed to reducing PM2.5 levels significantly over a four-year period. Plans include expanding the bus fleet in Delhi to improve public transport accessibility and integration with the metro network.

The government is focusing on promoting electric vehicles through subsidies and incentives, particularly targeting two-wheelers. Initiatives such as increasing charging points and leveraging schemes for cleaner fuels are part of the strategy to encourage a shift towards sustainable transportation methods.
