New Delhi, Aug 14 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday visited Bharatiya Vyapar Mahotsav 2026 and showcased reforms her government has initiated to improve ease of doing business.

She said that through Delhi government reforms like the Single Window System, Self-Certification, and Deemed Approval, the old, complex approval system is being simplified. As a result, traders spend less time chasing offices and more time advancing business.

In a message on X after attending the Summit, the Chief Minister said, “Participated in the Indian Business Summit 2026 organised at Bharat Mandapam. Under the respected leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodiji, ‘Swadeshi’ has today become the confidence of self-reliant India.”

She said, “Our traders, entrepreneurs, and MSMEs are not just expanding businesses; they are strengthening family prosperity, youth employment, and India’s economic power.”

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said, “The Delhi government is also firmly standing with them in this hard work. Through reforms like the Single Window System, Self-Certification, and Deemed Approval, the old complex approval system is being simplified, so that the trader’s time is not spent chasing offices, but advancing their business and dreams.”

“On this occasion, MP Shri Praveen Khandelwal ji, along with All India Traders Federation National President Shri B.C. Bharatiya ji and many other distinguished guests, were present,” she said in a message on X.

The Chief Minister first addressed a gathering at Hall No. 5, then toured the exhibition and interacted with exhibitors, entrepreneurs, traders, startups, and industry representatives participating in the event.

Earlier, Union Minister for Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited the Mahotsav and toured various exhibition stalls, interacting with entrepreneurs and traders from across the country.

Appreciating the products, innovations, and entrepreneurial spirit on display, he remarked that the Mahotsav is a vibrant reflection of India’s economic strength and commercial potential.

Others who visited the exhibition included Delhi MPs Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Yogendra Chandolia and Kamaljeet Sehrawat, along with several other public representatives, who appreciated the products and innovations presented by participants from various states.

Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal, also the Secretary General of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), said the Mahotsav has received an unprecedented response from the trading community, industry stakeholders, and the general public across the country.

He said that the various pavilions, theme-based exhibits, and business platforms set up at Bharat Mandapam provide a glimpse of India’s economic progress, manufacturing capabilities, and growing global competitiveness.
