Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta spearheaded the ‘Maa Yamuna Riverbank Cleanliness Drive’ at Yamuna Ghat, with government and BJP workers conducting a massive cleanup campaign along various ghats on the Yamuna River. Thousands of volunteers from different organizations, BJP workers, ministers, and party leaders actively participated in the drive to clean the riverbank areas. CM Rekha Gupta mentioned the significant involvement of volunteers and BJP workers in the cleanliness initiative, emphasizing the ongoing efforts since early morning to clean the Yamuna.
Union Minister of State and Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra, along with Delhi Minister Parvesh Verma, also engaged in the cleanliness campaign at Yamuna Ghat and ITO Ghat respectively. Harsh Malhotra highlighted the joint efforts of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Delhi government under CM Rekha Gupta, with various voluntary organizations in Delhi working on cleaning the Yamuna at 28 different locations. BJP MP Swati Maliwal and BJP MP Yogender Chandoliya actively participated in the cleanup drive at Kalindi Kunj, emphasizing the collective effort led by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the entire Cabinet, Delhi MPs, BJP MLAs, and party workers in the Yamuna cleanliness campaign.
BJP MLA Harish Khurana mentioned the celebration of ‘Seva Pakhwada’ marking 12 years of Prime Minister Modi’s tenure, with BJP workers from different districts of Delhi actively participating in cleaning the Yamuna ghats through ‘shramdaan’. Swati Maliwal highlighted the collaborative effort of social institutions and the BJP family in ensuring a clean Yamuna riverbank, emphasizing the continuation of the campaign for several hours. BJP leader Virendra Sachdeva noted the BJP’s initiative in undertaking the Yamuna cleanliness drive in Delhi, with party workers conducting Swachhata Abhiyan at all riverbanks in the city. BJP MLA Umang Bajaj mentioned the engagement of BJP workers across Delhi in a cleanliness drive to serve the Yamuna, coinciding with the completion of 12 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service. The extensive campaign witnessed coordinated cleaning activities at multiple locations, including Yamuna Ghat, ITO Ghat, and Kalindi Kunj, with participants actively involved in shramdaan as part of the riverbank sanitation initiative.
