Delhi Dangal Warriors clinched a spot in the semifinals of the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 with a thrilling 5-4 victory over Punjab Royals at the Noida Indoor Stadium. The decisive moment came in the eighth tie when Turan Bayramov’s stellar performance leveled the score at 4-4, ensuring Delhi’s progression to the final four.
In a closely contested match, Player of the Match Turan Bayramov outclassed U23 Asian Champion Chandermohan, while Ana Godinez’s win in the women’s 62kg category kept Punjab Royals in the game until the end. Punjab Royals, already with a semifinal berth, put up a strong fight, but Delhi’s strategic wins in various categories secured their place in the next round.
Delhi’s journey to the semifinals was marked by standout performances from key players like Vafaeipour Hadi Bakhtiar and captain Sujeet Kalkal. With this victory, Delhi Dangal Warriors finished second in the league stage, while Punjab Royals also advanced to the semifinals with a fourth-place finish.
On Day 14 of PWL 2026, Haryana Thunders will face Punjab Royals in the first semifinal match.
