In alignment with the government’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) conducted a tree plantation event at Gulmohar Park in Haus Khas, Delhi. The event witnessed diverse participation from individuals such as a former military officer, a Supreme Court advocate, and political figures.
BJP leader Shyam Jaju commended the DDA’s efforts, emphasizing the importance of combating pollution through increased green cover. He lauded the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, highlighting the positive impact of planting saplings in Gulmohar Park to enhance environmental sustainability.
Jaju praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership in promoting the plantation campaign, stressing the significance of such initiatives in addressing pollution challenges. He underscored the role of public engagement in ensuring the success of environmental schemes, noting ongoing plantation drives in various parks across Delhi.
Air Commodore Ranjan Mukherjee, a participant in the event, mentioned the planting of around 55 saplings at the park. He emphasized the collective goal of creating a greener environment in Delhi and the nation, emphasizing the need to contribute to global conservation efforts.
Supreme Court advocate Virag Gupta highlighted the cultural and environmental importance of tree planting, especially amidst global warming concerns. He encouraged the younger generation to join such initiatives for the well-being of future generations and the planet, sharing his personal commitment to planting trees on significant occasions.
