The Delhi government executed a significant administrative overhaul in its Finance and Accounts Department to enhance transparency, accountability, and efficiency in governance. As per the Transfer and Posting Policy, 52 officers serving in the same position for five years or more have been immediately reassigned. This includes 23 Deputy Controllers of Accounts and 29 Senior Accounts Officers.
In a move to recognize performance, 19 Senior Accounts Officers have been promoted to the position of Deputy Controller of Accounts, expanding their roles. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s commitment to transparent and accountable governance is cited as the driving force behind this initiative. The reshuffle is aimed at boosting administrative efficiency, reinforcing financial management, and infusing greater transparency, accountability, and dynamism into the Finance and Accounts Department’s operations in Delhi.
The promoted Senior Accounts Officers will now assume increased responsibilities as Deputy Controllers of Accounts across various departments of the Delhi government. The transfers and postings have been carried out based on administrative needs, with a focus on promoting integrity, transparency, and efficiency within the system. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta emphasized the government’s dedication to establishing an administrative framework that upholds the highest standards of transparency, accountability, efficiency, and good governance.
