More than 75% of the Delhi government’s operations are now conducted through the e-Office system, according to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. The e-Office system, which is approaching its first anniversary on July 1, has seen increased adoption, with 120 out of 132 government departments actively using it since April 13. Additionally, about 65.5% of public sector entities and 43.8% of educational institutions have embraced the system.
The transition from traditional paper-based processes to the e-Office system has streamlined file movements, communication, and approvals, leading to quicker file processing. Chief Minister Gupta highlighted that this digital shift has enhanced transparency, accountability, and the efficiency of public service delivery. The system enables easy tracking of files, actions taken, and ensures secure record-keeping.
With 15,748 officers and employees from 235 departments and offices already utilizing the e-Office system for official tasks, the Delhi government is progressively expanding its implementation. The system has been categorized to cater to the distinct needs of government departments, public sector entities, and educational institutions, ensuring tailored functionality. Starting July 1, 2025, the use of e-Office will be mandatory across all Delhi government departments.
