In another development, the Delhi government initiated efforts to enhance sustainability by promoting sustainable urban mobility. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the Uber Airport Share service at the Delhi Secretariat, aiming to make Delhi cleaner and smarter.
The Uber Airport Share service, inaugurated at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, provides affordable and convenient shared ride options through the Uber app. Chief Minister Gupta emphasized the government’s commitment to creating a cleaner, greener, and smarter capital through innovative and sustainable mobility solutions.
Furthermore, the Delhi government’s Environment Department signed a five-year Memorandum of Understanding with the AIRAWAT Research Foundation of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. This agreement, endorsed by Chief Minister Gupta, aims to tackle air pollution using artificial intelligence, advanced data analytics, hyperlocal monitoring, and scientific decision-support systems.
