Delhi LG Welcomes 1,647 New Recruits to DDA for Nation-Building Vision

Delhi Lieutenant Governor and DDA Chairman T.S. Sandhu greeted 1,647 new recruits of the city’s land-owning agency, emphasizing their crucial role in India’s development vision for 2047. At an event held at the Yamuna Sports Complex, Sandhu urged the recruits to actively contribute to the nation’s progress under PM Modi’s leadership. He highlighted the significance of their responsibilities in shaping the future of Delhi and the nation.

Sandhu stressed the importance of the new recruits’ roles in the transformative phase India is currently undergoing. He described this period as pivotal, where present actions will shape the country’s future by 2047. Sandhu emphasized that the recruits’ contributions are not merely supportive but foundational in achieving the goal of a developed Delhi and India by 2047.

Addressing the new recruits, Sandhu underscored the impact their work at DDA will have on Delhi’s growth, urban planning, engineering, and public services. He emphasized that their efforts will directly influence the city’s development, infrastructure, and the daily lives of its residents. Sandhu, along with Union Housing and Urban Affairs Secretary Srinivas R. Katikithala, highlighted the challenges faced by cities today and the need for technical expertise, innovation, and ethical commitment to address them.

Sandhu encouraged the new DDA recruits to view their positions as opportunities to establish fair, efficient, and responsive systems. He emphasized that their decisions, dedication, and adherence to high standards will not only shape their careers but also determine the credibility of the institution they serve. Sandhu reminded the recruits that public service is fundamentally about serving the people and urged them to approach their duties with a blend of empathy and professionalism.
