Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu recently met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss the vision of ‘Viksit Delhi@2047’. Sandhu shared insights on his Lok Niwas experience and outlined strategies to realize PM Modi’s vision for a developed Delhi by 2047.
During the interaction, Sandhu conveyed his meeting with President Droupadi Murmu on March 13 to address issues concerning the national capital. He also highlighted his visit to the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s Amrit Udyan, expressing delight in witnessing the spring blossoms.
In addition to his engagements, Sandhu reviewed security, sanitation, and health preparedness with key officials. He emphasized the importance of readiness, coordination, and efficient responses during his discussions with Secretary (Health) Rupesh Kumar Thakur and Additional Chief Secretary (Food and Civil Supplies) Prashant Goel.
The Lieutenant Governor, who assumed office on March 11, engaged in discussions with Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet members regarding development and security matters. The focus was on ongoing initiatives to transform Delhi into a global capital in line with PM Modi’s vision.
