Delhi Lieutenant Governor T.S. Sandhu recently visited the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) at the NDMC’s headquarters to assess the Summer Action Plan, emphasizing citizen-centric urban governance. He commended the ICCC’s technology-driven approach, suggesting it as a model for civic agencies nationwide.
During his visit, the Lieutenant Governor highlighted the ICCC’s use of IoT-based systems for services like water management and environmental monitoring. He expressed that this governance model, centered in Delhi, could be replicated in urban local bodies across India to enhance civic services.
Stressing the importance of on-ground execution to safeguard vulnerable communities and frontline workers, the Lieutenant Governor affirmed the commitment to bolster resilient and citizen-centric urban governance. He also emphasized the role of Delhi in the nation’s development vision, symbolized by New Delhi.
In a separate event, T.S. Sandhu emphasized the empowerment of women at the 102nd Foundation Day celebrations of Indraprastha College for Women – Samanvay 2026. He lauded the students for embracing a future of women-led, modern, and knowledge-driven development, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Encouraging students to make a positive impact on society, the Lieutenant Governor urged them to lead with confidence towards a developed Delhi and India.
