As the controversy surrounding Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s video escalates, Delhi Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has demanded his arrest. Sirsa expressed concern over allegations that Punjab officials manipulated forensic reports related to the video, leading to strong objections.
Sirsa, speaking at a press conference at the BJP headquarters, raised serious concerns about Punjab politics and issues affecting the Sikh community. He highlighted the directive from the Akal Takht Sahib’s high priests, urging Sikhs to sever ties with Bhagwant Mann due to a video allegedly showing him disrespecting sacred Sikh images.
The emergence of the video has sparked outrage among the global Sikh community, with Sirsa emphasizing that such actions are intolerable to Sikhs. He mentioned the Akal Takht Sahib’s decision to expel Bhagwant Mann from the Sikh community after forensic examinations confirmed the video’s authenticity.
According to Sirsa, despite evidence proving the video’s authenticity, Bhagwant Mann and his associates continue to deny its validity. Allegations were made regarding the procurement of a fabricated forensic report using illicit means to discredit the video, leading to further condemnation of such actions by Sirsa.
Sirsa also criticized the Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders for allegedly commissioning false reports to undermine the authority of the Akal Takht Sahib. He likened the current situation in Punjab to historical oppressive regimes and accused certain individuals of challenging Sikh sentiments through deceitful practices.
