He pointed out the contrast in treatment of minorities between India and Pakistan, emphasizing the need for safeguarding religious heritage and minority rights.
Malhotra further criticized the silence of AAP leaders like Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Sardar Bhagwant Mann on the issue, questioning their inaction in condemning the demolition. He underscored the importance of upholding religious traditions and values, especially in the face of such destructive acts targeting minority communities and their places of worship.
Delhi BJP legislator Sardar Arvinder Singh Lovely joined in the condemnation, denouncing the treatment of minorities in Pakistan and the demolition of their religious sites. He praised the Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for promptly addressing the issue and calling for the reconstruction of the demolished Gurdwara. Lovely also highlighted the violation of Unesco norms in damaging religious sites over 100 years old, emphasizing the need for protection of such heritage structures.
