In response to the recent attack on an Army Brigadier and his son in South Delhi’s Vasant Enclave, Delhi Police have taken action following intervention at various levels. An FIR has been lodged, and the police are looking into alleged lapses in the initial response. The individuals involved have been relocated pending further investigation.
The primary suspect in the case has been identified as Satinder Kumar, a resident of Mehram Nagar known to be linked with an aviation company. Delhi Police is expected to swiftly pursue the apprehension of the suspect and conclude the investigation.
The incident occurred when the Brigadier and his son confronted two individuals consuming alcohol in a parked car near their home after dinner on Saturday. An altercation ensued when the officer objected to their actions. The assault on the Brigadier and his son reportedly took place on April 11 around 10 P.M.
The Brigadier’s wife recounted the events, stating that the police did not intervene effectively during the attack. Despite seeking assistance, the police allegedly failed to provide timely support, leading the family to file a complaint in the early hours of April 12. The family expressed disappointment with the police response, highlighting a lack of immediate action and support during the distressing incident.
