The Delhi Police apprehended a cab driver linked to the abduction, rape, and murder of an 11-year-old girl in Mehrauli. The suspect took the girl while she slept on a pavement near her family around 5:00 A.M. Authorities swiftly formed teams to find the child, leading to the arrest within six hours of the incident.
The accused admitted to the crime after being caught and disclosed that he had disposed of the victim’s body along the Faridabad-Gurugram road. Police recovered the body and charged the driver with kidnapping, rape, and murder. In a separate case in Delhi, a 36-year-old social media influencer accused a man of raping her during a video shoot, as reported by officials.
Following the woman’s complaint, an FIR was filed at Burari Police Station on June 10, with an ongoing investigation confirmed by a senior officer. The victim alleged that the man, whom she met on social media in 2022, assaulted her in a local hotel under the pretext of filming social media content. She claimed he later blackmailed and assaulted her, leading her to cut ties upon discovering his true identity differed from what he presented.
In Begusarai district, Bihar, a 28-year-old married woman was reportedly gang-raped by five youths who subjected her to extreme brutality. The assault, which included inserting a live bullet, a stone, and a piece of wood into her private parts, was confirmed during a medical examination. The survivor, currently receiving treatment at Sadar Hospital, recounted being held captive, dragged, tied up, and assaulted by the perpetrators.
