In Nihal Vihar, Delhi Police apprehended a female drug peddler and seized 341 grams of ganja along with Rs 3.72 lakh in cash. The arrest was made during a routine patrol by a team from Police Station Nihal Vihar on December 20, as part of efforts to combat drug trafficking.
The patrolling team, including ASI Arvind, Woman Head Constable Yogita, and Constable Sanjeet, spotted a suspicious woman near Pari Garden with a brown carry bag in the Adhyapak Nagar area. Upon noticing the police, the woman tried to escape, but the team managed to catch her.
The seized contraband was confirmed to be 341 grams of ganja, and the cash amounting to Rs 3,72,830 was believed to be proceeds from drug sales. Following legal procedures, the drugs and money were confiscated on the spot by the police.
A case was registered at Police Station Nihal Vihar under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, and the accused woman was formally arrested. Investigations revealed her involvement in multiple cases under the Delhi Excise Act in the past.
