Actress-producer Patralekhaa has spoken out against social media pages for body shaming her after recently giving birth while working on two films simultaneously. She emphasized the natural changes her body underwent during pregnancy and urged for empathy over judgment.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Patralekhaa directly addressed the scrutiny, highlighting that her weight gain was a result of childbirth and managing film projects, not overeating. She expressed frustration at the perception of her weight gain as abnormal, stating the challenges of balancing motherhood and professional commitments.

Patralekhaa, who is married to actor Rajkummar Rao, defended her post-pregnancy body, attributing it to the natural process of pregnancy and work demands. She concluded her message by appealing for kindness and understanding rather than criticism towards new mothers.

The couple, Rajkummar and Patralekhaa, welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Parvati Paul Rao, on November 15 last year. Their love story began on the sets of “CityLights” in 2014, leading to a romantic relationship, proposal, and marriage in 2021 surrounded by loved ones.
