The Delhi Police’s Rohini District Special Staff apprehended three shooters believed to have ties with the “Lawrence Bishnoi-Hari Boxer gang,” who were allegedly plotting a specific murder, as per authorities. The accused individuals had scouted multiple targets in the national capital for the planned killing and were reportedly gathering information from an overseas network to execute the crime.
These individuals were wanted in connection with various incidents in Delhi. The arrested suspects have been named as Randeep Malik, Hari Boxer, and Anil Pandit. Shashank Jaiswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Rohini, mentioned that the trio was acting on the instructions of criminals and had conducted reconnaissance on their behalf.
According to the DCP, the three suspects have been taken into custody, with one of them having a prior arrest in a murder case in 2024. Despite being released from prison, he was apprehended before carrying out the intended offense. The police revealed that the accused had also demanded extortion money, with Randeep Malik initially asking for Rs 1 crore, a sum later raised by Hari Boxer.
However, the police clarified that the alleged association of the accused with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang is subject to ongoing investigation. Recently, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other U.S. law enforcement agencies conducted a significant operation, arresting over 20 individuals as part of “Operation Hard Ball” targeting the Lawrence Bishnoi network. The operation aimed to disrupt key segments of the criminal syndicate involved in illegal activities affecting communities in North America and India.
While the operation focused on the network’s illicit actions, it was noted that there was no evidence linking the Indian government to the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Khalistani operative. An official highlighted that this recent operation supports India’s stance against allegations made by former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in 2023 regarding India’s involvement in Nijjar’s murder.
