The Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has apprehended a notorious criminal wanted in connection with an attempted murder case in Najafgarh. The arrested individual, identified as 31-year-old Gaurav alias Love Sharma alias Sandeep alias Masalewala, was a resident of the area. The arrest is seen as a significant setback to criminal activities in the Najafgarh region.

According to the police, the accused, Gaurav alias Masalewala, along with another individual named Prince Mittal, was involved in an altercation where they assaulted a man. Subsequently, Gaurav fired a gunshot at the complainant, causing injuries to his leg. Both assailants then fled the scene on a motorcycle. The injured individual was promptly taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.

The arrested individual has a criminal record with involvement in multiple cases, including murder, robbery, and snatching incidents. Acting on a tip-off, the police team, led by Inspector Gulshan Yadav, successfully apprehended Gaurav at Deen Dayal Hospital in Hari Nagar after a brief chase and resistance.
