Delhi police are currently investigating threatening emails sent to various schools in the city, warning of potential bomb attacks. Schools such as Alcon School, Bal Bharati School, Jaspal Convent, and others were named in these emails. Upon discovering the emails, school authorities promptly informed the police and fire departments, who visited the schools to assess the threats and conduct initial checks. As of now, no suspects related to the emails have been identified by the police.
This incident is part of a recent trend of anonymous threats via emails that have disrupted schools in Delhi-NCR, leading to significant concern and operational disruptions. The Delhi Police have confirmed that all the mentioned schools are undergoing thorough inspections. As a precautionary measure, students and staff have been evacuated, and investigations are currently underway. Authorities have assured the public that there is no immediate danger, urging everyone to remain calm.
This is not the first time educational institutions in the national capital have faced such threats. In a similar incident last November, two schools and three courts in Delhi received bomb threat emails, resulting in swift evacuations and heightened security measures. Additionally, a CRPF school in Dwarka and another in Prashant Vihar experienced minor explosions on their premises. The courts targeted by the threatening emails included Saket Court, Patiala House Court, and Rohini Court.
