The Delhi Police announced the swift resolution of a house theft case shortly after the incident, capturing the burglar involved. Among the recovered stolen items were various electronic devices, notably Apple products. The arrest of the suspect, identified as Md. Ashad Anwar, was made by the staff of Police Station Kishangarh.
Officials reported that the arrest led to the retrieval of stolen goods, including an iPhone, iPad, Android phone, Apple watches, a Nikon DSLR camera, and other electronics. The police credited the use of the live location feature on the stolen Apple devices for tracking down the accused. Sub Inspector Vinod Kumar and Constable Kewenilo, along with the Crime Team of the South-West District, responded promptly to a PCR call on May 9 regarding the house theft.
The case unfolded with the registration of E-FIR No. 80038020/26 under Section 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at the Kishangarh police station. The victim’s complaint detailed the theft of valuable items, including Apple gadgets, from the residence. Following the victim’s provision of live location details for the stolen Apple products, the police swiftly located the accused in Shani Bazar, Kishangarh, and recovered the stolen property. The accused confessed during interrogation that he stole the items to make quick money and cover his alcohol expenses, revealing his unemployment status.
