The South-West District Police, as part of ‘Operation Milap,’ successfully located and reunited 118 missing individuals with their families. This included 31 missing or kidnapped children and 87 adults between February 1 and February 28. The district police’s efforts were praised for their dedication and compassion in ensuring the safe return of the missing persons.
During the first two months of 2026, a total of 193 missing persons, consisting of 59 minors and 134 adults, were found and reunited with their families. The South-West District Police initiated search operations promptly upon receiving reports of missing or kidnapped individuals. Local inquiries, examination of CCTV footage, and circulation of photographs at various locations aided in tracing the missing persons.
The coordinated efforts involved engaging with bus drivers, conductors, and local vendors to track the movements of the missing individuals. Additionally, local informers were utilized, and thorough checks were conducted at nearby police stations and hospitals. The success of these efforts was evident as multiple police stations under the South-West District achieved significant results in reuniting missing persons with their families.
Vasant Vihar Police Station traced nine missing persons, including two males and seven females. R.K. Puram Police Station successfully located one missing boy and six missing individuals, comprising two males and four females. Various other police stations in the district also contributed to the reunification efforts by tracing missing children and adults.
All the recovered individuals were safely reunited with their families, bringing relief and hope to numerous households. The South-West District Police, through Operation Milap, demonstrated their commitment to public service and community welfare. Their systematic investigations, prompt responses, and compassionate approach were instrumental in the successful reunification of the missing persons.
