Delhi Speaker Emphasizes Youth’s Role in India’s Development

Delhi Legislative Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta highlighted the significant role of the youth in propelling India towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. Speaking at an event at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, Gupta praised the youth as not just beneficiaries but key contributors to India’s progress. He underscored the importance of the youth’s energy and innovation in driving Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047.

Invoking Babasaheb Ambedkar’s principles of education, organization, and struggle, Gupta stressed the need for using education to address national challenges and foster inclusive growth. He commended the college as a symbol of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s aspirations for social change through education. At the event, Gupta honored students for their academic, sports, and extracurricular achievements, emphasizing the value of hard work and guidance from teachers in achieving success.

Encouraging students to embrace challenges and learn from failures, Gupta emphasized the importance of character and attitude in life beyond college. He urged students to stay connected to their roots and uphold human values amidst technological advancements. Gupta also recognized the college’s role in nurturing young minds for nation-building, showcasing the rich heritage of the Delhi Legislative Assembly through a documentary screening.
