Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh announced the upcoming inauguration of 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in the city, expanding primary healthcare services. This initiative will bring the total number of centers to 319, aiming to establish over 1,100 such facilities in the long run. The move aligns with the government’s goal of providing accessible healthcare to all households.
The new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs will offer free doctor consultations, essential medicines, diagnostic tests, and various healthcare services. These centers aim to ease the burden on major hospitals, ensuring prompt and convenient healthcare for residents. Delhi also continues to enhance healthcare coverage under national schemes like Ayushman Bharat.
Delhi now boasts 189 empanelled hospitals, including private, Delhi government, and Central government hospitals. These facilities provide cashless treatment, enabling financially vulnerable families to access essential healthcare services without financial barriers. The government’s efforts focus on ensuring seamless access to secondary and tertiary care for all residents.
