The recent deportation of Salim Dola, a key associate of Dawood Ibrahim, from Turkey to India signifies a significant breakthrough for Indian law enforcement agencies. Dola, known for running a massive drug business worth Rs 5,000 crore, was handed over to Central Intelligence officials in New Delhi after being arrested in Turkey. This move is part of a broader crackdown on organized crime and narcotics syndicates.

Indian and international intelligence agencies collaborated closely to facilitate Dola’s swift deportation, highlighting the effective coordination between them. Authorities anticipate that Mumbai Police, which has multiple cases against Dola, will seek custody after initial interrogations. The deportation deal is seen as a major blow to underworld activities and ISI-supported drug cartels, aiming to disrupt their operations significantly.

Central Intelligence agencies plan to subject Dola to rigorous questioning to gather crucial information about his operations in India and his connections with global players. Of particular interest is his association with the Dawood Syndicate and its supply chains in India. This strategic move is part of broader efforts to dismantle drug networks and enhance national security measures against illicit activities.

The extradition of Salim Dola represents a significant victory for Indian agencies in their ongoing battle against drug trafficking and organized crime. This successful operation follows previous extraditions, including Dola’s son Taher Dola and another associate, Salim Mohamed Sheikh, reflecting a series of legal victories. The Enforcement Directorate, along with Mumbai Police, will intensify their investigations by questioning Dola and his network to unravel the full extent of their illicit activities.
