In response to heavy rainfall causing a natural disaster in Pune district, Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar has instructed the administration to provide immediate assistance to affected citizens. She ensured that the administrative machinery is prepared to handle the monsoon conditions and urged the public to follow official instructions. Deputy CM Pawar conducted a high-level meeting to assess the situation across the district.
She issued directives to guarantee public safety and quick rehabilitation, emphasizing the prompt delivery of relief materials to flood-affected areas. In case of villages losing connectivity due to heavy rains, restoration efforts are to be prioritized. The disaster control room will operate round the clock, providing hourly situation updates.
Deputy CM Pawar stressed the evacuation of citizens from high-risk zones to safe shelters, ensuring access to food, water, and healthcare. Timely alerts on floods and landslides will be disseminated through various channels. Government officials are required to remain at their posts, with disaster response teams on high alert.
Efficient coordination among rescue agencies is mandated for swift operations. Security measures near hazardous areas will be reinforced to prevent public entry. Dissemination of verified information and prompt relief distribution are key focuses. Restoration of essential services and close monitoring of vulnerable areas are top priorities.
