India’s Diksha Dagar showcased consistency and composure at the MCB Ladies Classic in Mauritius, holding strong in the competition. With rounds of 68 and 69, she reached a total of 7-under-par, placing her in a tie for fourth position, just two strokes behind the leaders.

Out of the four Indian golfers in the tournament, three, including Dagar, progressed to the final round. Hitaashee Bakshi and Tvesa Malik also secured their spots, with Bakshi at tied 19th and Malik at tied 26th. However, Vani Kapoor did not advance after her rounds.

Dagar’s recent form signals a return to peak performance, with a steady improvement in her game. Her second round was marked by birdies on several holes, showcasing her control and precision on the course.

Bakshi had a strong round with five birdies but dropped shots on a couple of holes, affecting her overall standing. Malik, competing through the Sunshine Ladies Tour, managed three birdies but also conceded bogeys during her round.

The competition is fierce, with a closely contested leaderboard. Seven players, including Dagar, are just two shots behind the leaders at 7-under-par. A total of 75 players made the cut, with 18 golfers within four shots of the lead heading into the final round.

The stage is set for an exciting finish in Mauritius as Dagar and her fellow golfers strive to close the gap and contend for the title.
