Diksha Dagar dropped to Tied-16th position in the SA Women’s Open after giving away two crucial shots towards the end of her round. She shot 1-under 72, totaling 6-under for 36 holes, slipping from T-11 on the first day.
Starting with a bogey on the 10th, Diksha recovered with birdies on the 11th, 16th, and 18th holes. However, she faltered on her second nine with bogeys on the third, eighth, and ninth, falling from the Top-10 to Tied-16th.
Meanwhile, Pranavi Urs was placed T-43rd after a 73, and Avani Prashanth secured a weekend spot with a late birdie on the seventh hole. Avani’s birdies on the 11th and 14th, along with a par performance on her second nine, helped her make the cut.
The trio of Vani Kapoor, Tvesa Malik, and Hitaashee Bakshi missed the cut. Pia Babnik leads the tournament at 14-under par, with a three-shot advantage over Cara Gainer heading into the weekend.
In second place is Cara Gainer at 11-under par, followed by Esme Hamilton one shot behind. Anna Morgan from the USA and Emma Spitz from Austria share the fourth spot at nine-under par. Five players are tied for sixth place at eight-under par.
